Entrepreneurship & Using Failure As A Stepping Stone

If I’m not getting paid through affiliate links on this post, it’s an oversight on my part and will be corrected soon. 🙂

Hello everyone! I thought I’d share some of the insights I’ve gained on my entrepreneurship journey for the past several years. Like many folks, I’ve come across numerous business opportunities, gigs, and people offering solutions to my past money problems. Some of these ventures resulted in success, while others ended in failure. But here’s what I’ve learned: don’t let the failures stop you as it’s only information on how to do things differently in the future. Allow me to share with you some tips on how to use failure as a stepping stone to freedom.

The Mind Has No Limitations

For years, I thought that failure was a really bad thing, and fear would stop me from proceeding towards my dreams. It took me a while to learn that the mind has no limitations unless you or someone else puts them there. You have the power to control how you view failure, and this can completely change your mindset. There were some things that I failed at growing up and sometimes it would affect how I handled things in the future. For example, there was this company that I really wanted to work for, and I had severe anxiety before the interview. There were 200 other candidates going in for the same interview and needless to say, I allowed that to intimidate me. Each airline interview I had thereafter continued to intimidate me. I didn’t realize that I was engaging in negative self-talk. Truth is, I disliked that the job had me away from home so much and deep in my core, I knew that I wanted to work for myself. Whenever you are experiencing negative self talk, check in with yourself and figure out what your deepest needs are.

Surround Yourself with Happy and Supportive People

The people you surround yourself with matters. Make an effort to be around happy people who also have goals for their lives. I know this from experience because when you are around Debbie downers and people that have low faith, you will begin to pick up on their thought processes and mannerisms. The same applies to the online communities that you may be a part of. I unfollowed everyone not because I think I’m better than anybody but because I want to be in control over what appears on my timeline. You have control over what you allow in your mind as well as who you allow in your mind. If you scroll through your social media and immediately cringe or get triggered by a photo, changes are you need to unfollow that person or organization.

Seek Opportunities

Seeking opportunities consistently is one of the most exciting aspects of entrepreneurship. As a CEO, I have the opportunity to market anything that I want and make income from it.  Had I not started, I would have not been able to create this opportunity for thousands of others. My point is, it is wise to continuously seek opportunities that you’re interested in because it may help you in the long run. Also, don’t be afraid to switch it up if a particular system isn’t working. To come up with more ideas, you can draw whatever comes to mind.

Find What Works for You

Lastly, remember that every entrepreneur is different and what works for someone else may not necessarily work for you. Take the time to figure out what approach works best for you when pushing forward towards your dreams. Don’t be afraid to try different things and take risks along the way.

Entrepreneurship is a fulfilling journey that comes with ups and downs. It’s important to keep your eyes on the prize and never give up. Remember, failure is only feedback and an opportunity to do things differently in the future. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people, and take advantage of opportunities that come your way. Being a part of a like-minded community is so important. You could even book a vacation solo and find your community while out of town. So, whether you’re starting out or a seasoned entrepreneur, keep pushing forward and don’t give up on your dreams.
